The design of the Advance Acoustic "ELYSÉE" EL 170 speaker series took about two years to research.

To reproduce music as truthfully as possible, respect the timbre of every instrument, every voice, to restore the dynamics entirely, our research was mainly centered on five of the most important parameters:

 Solidity of the woodwork

Stationary waves

Directivity

Drivers

Filters

1)    The woodwork of the speakers Advance Acoustic is built of medium. Reinforcements and internal partitions insure perfect rigidity to avoid the development of vibrations.

2)    The energy reflected on the internal walls of the speaker creates stationary waves. To eliminate these interferences causing a colored listening (contrary of neutral listening), we developed the BSW system (Breaking Stationary Wave). This system is composed of a rubber ovum, semi-reverberating, whose faint oscillations are caused by the variations of internal pressure in the loudspeaker. The oscillations of the rubber ovum do not generate noise, but eliminate the stationary waves completely.

3)    We develop our drivers in order to obtain the features and performance desired/requested. The membranes, in cellulose pulp, guarantee a neutral musical reproduction, the pure copper coils are fixed on a capton support.

4)    The final performance of a speaker will be determined by the filter! Advance Acoustic has developed a precise and rigorous filtering technique. The choice of the best components, air selfs, polypropylene capacitors, precision ceramic resistors contribute considerably to the quality of musical performance.

5)    The speaker EL 170 is delivered with a base which allows to use it horizontally, for instance as part of a Video Audio installation, as a central speaker of high quality, its two-level configuration makes it much less directional than  conventional speakers.

EL 170 is a two-way speaker.  Its 17 cm- diameter woofer-medium can reproduce deep and energetic bass sounds, as well as natural and realistic voices, whereas the tweeter ensures a subtle and detailed reproduction of trebles, exempt from any harshness.

The speakers of the ELYSÉE range are so performing that, when used in a Audio Video installation, they will produce spectacular results.
